Kerman province, which is on the earthquake belt in southeast of Iran, had 17 tremors in the past 48 hours. According to the report of seismography center affiliated to Tehran University, the province shook four times in the past 24 hours, the largest one measured 4.2 on Richter scale in the area of Faryab south of Kerman province. The tremor occurred on Saturday afternoon and the center of quake was at the depth of 10 kilometers underground. There is no immediate report on possible damage, according to (IRNA) news agency. The same seismography center registered 13 earthquakes measuring less than 3 on Richter scale in the province on Friday.
