2 militants killed, weapons, munitions, explosives recovered in Tipasa

A detachment of the People’s National Army (ANP) of Tipasa operational area killed, Thursday, two terrorists and recovered weapons, munitions and explosives, said Friday the Ministry of National Defence in a communiqué.
“A detachment of the People’s National Army of the operational sector of Tipasa (1st Military Region) killed, yesterday Thursday 20 November 2014 at 20:45, two terrorists and recovered a (1) Kalashnikov automatic rifle and two loaded magazines,” said the communiqué.
The operation, conducted following an ambush in the Tazrout region, sub-prefecture of Damous, allowed the recovery of a quantity of munitions and explosives, a (1) pair of binoculars, four (4) mobile phones as well as other objects, added the source.
“On the same day, and as part of the measures for securing borders and fighting against smuggling and organized crime, a detachment of the People’s National Army of In Guezzam operational sector (6th Military Region) also seized an all-terrain vehicle and other objects,” said the communiqué.
