Launched in 2011, The FIFA/FIFPro WORLD XI Predictor is a stylish, interactive game that allows fans to select their personal Top 11 footballers from the official 55-name shortlist for the FIFA/FIFPro WORLD XI. Whether you simply choose to play the game for fun or you’re focused solely on trying to win the Grand Prize, the FIFA/FIFPro WORLD XI Predictor is an exciting and interactive way to pass the time as we count down to the FIFA Ballon d’Or Gala 2012 Gala. Win a jersey signed by the World XI There’s only one way to win the game. Correctly predict the exact eleven players that will form the FIFA 2012 FIFA/FIFPro World XI! Once the team is officially unveiled at the FIFA Ballon d’Or Gala on 7 January all the entries that correctly predicted all 11 players will be placed into a Grand Prize draw. One lucky FIFA Club member will win an exclusive FIFA/FIFPro adidas jersey signed by the entire 2012 FIFA/FIFPro World XI for 2012! Can you imagine having a jersey signed by so many superstars? You might not have to! Play the FIFA/FIFPro WORLD XI Predictor and you could win this incredible prize! About the FIFA/FIFPro World XI award The FIFA Ballon d’Or Gala 2012, which will be held at Zurich’s Kongresshaus on 7 January 2013, will honour the best football players and coaches of the past year. One of the many prestigious awards that will be handed out during the ceremony is the FIFA/FIFPro WORLD XI. Over 50,000 professional footballers from all over the world submit their votes for the best players in each of the following positions: Goalkeeper, Defenders, Midfielders and Forwards. The result of this voting is the official FIFA/FIFPro WORLD XI. How to play Starting 19 November, FIFA.com will begin releasing the 55-shortlisted names for the FIFA/FIFPro World XI in four separate phases. Here are the official release dates for the shortlists: 19 November: Goalkeepers revealed 22 November: Defenders revealed 26 November: Midfielders revealed 29 November: Forwards revealed Once the first shortlist (goalkeepers) is published you can begin predicting your World XI. Whether you predict in stages or wait until the full 55-man reveal before making your selection, the choice is yours! There is no benefit or drawback to predicting earlier or later. You can change and edit your selection as often as you like before the deadline. Just make sure that you submit your final World XI team by the contest deadline (4 January 2013). From 19 November on, The FIFA/FIFPro World XI game will be available on the main Club page of your FIFA.com Club Account. Activate the game and begin playing!
