In-form Liechtenstein racer Tina Weirather is still undergoing treatment in a race to be fit for Wednesday's women's downhill. The 24-year-old daughter of double 1980 Olympic gold medallist Hanni Wenzel suffered a deep bruise to the bone on her right leg and was assessed in hospital in Krasnaya Polyana on Sunday. There were hopes that she would be confirmed on Monday for the downhill, but Robert Buechel-Thalmaier, Liechenstein's alpine press attache, said Weirather was still undergoing extensive testing on her injured leg. No further update would be available until later Tuesday, he said. Weirather currently lies second in the World Cup overall and downhill standings and would be a strong favourite for a podium place if fully fit. Source: AFP
