Reigning US Open champion Angelique Kerber remained No. 1 in the latest WTA rankings, while Venus Williams exited the top 10.

22-time Grand Slam women’s singles champion Serena Williams came dawn to second spots from No.1, much of the remainder of the top 20 was shaken up on Monday.

Svetlana Kuznetsova jumped up three spots to the No. 7 position, while Dominika Cibulkova came in just behind her at No. 8 after improving by four spots. Carla Suarez Navarro fell two positions to No. 10, and Venus Williams dropped down the list as well, falling six spots from No. 7 to the 13th ranking.

Recently-crowned Dongfeng Motor Wuhan Open champion Petra Kvitova missed the top 10 by one spot, rising five spots to come in at No. 11 after her title in China, which she won after a 13-month championship drought.
