Head of the security committee Naeem al-Kaoud
Baghdad - Najla Al Taee

There is a major question about the escape of prisoners loyal to ISIS extremist group from the prisons of Anbar raises a state of skepticism, saying that the security authorities work to detect the elements that worked to help those prisoners escape in return for money to refer them to military trials, said Head of the security committee in Anbar province Naeem al-Kaoud.

He added, in an interview with “Arabs Today”, that a number of employees in the security authorities helped leaders of ISIS extremist group to escape from the prison in return for large amounts of money. He stressed that they work currently to uncover those traitors to refer them to military courts.

He stressed that the details of their escape from the prisons have not been revealed, saying that they escaped from the prison in cooperation with the jailers. He added that they have been transferred through private cars. He added that they formed committees to reveal the details of the incident.

He expected that there are elements among the employees of Prisons Authority helping the elements of the extremist group to escape from the prisons in return for large amounts of money, saying that the major role of the committee is to refer those corrupt elements to trial as soon as possible as partners in the security violations witnessed in the country.

He added that the major reason for the fall of one third of Iraqi lands at the hand of extremists is the smuggling of prisoners by the corrupt security leaders and executive officials. He warned of the remnants of the extremist group in the liberated areas, calling for reviewing the security plans in Anbar.

He blamed the lack of security forces and Popular Mobilization Forces in addition to the lack of advanced monitoring devices for the security violations and increasing attacks that targeted different places of Anbar Province from the extremist militants.

He stressed the need to review the leaders and security plans in Anbar province to contain the increasing violations and attacks and to undermine any opportunity for the extremist groups to return to the province.

It is noteworthy that Anbar province is witnessing from time to time, security breaches, often targeting civilians and security forces, while the security forces continue to prosecute criminal elements and arrest them in liberated areas of the province.
