Egyptian parliamentarian Mohamed Desouki revealed that he was one of the first those people who demanded the participation of the private sector in the railway system, in the wake of the painful incident that occurred in Alexandria a few days ago as a result of the collision of two trains, which killed a large number of citizens and injuring others.
He added that he refuses the calls for privatizing the railways sector, saying that there is a need for serious partnership between both the public and private sectors whether in its management or its operation to contain the consecutive crises that hit the vital sector during the latest period.
He added that the government should sign a contract with a company specialized in management or operation, saying that the a major investment company should take the responsibility of the management of this facility for a certain period.
On the other hand, he said that Egyptian ports witness comprehensive development and renaissance   during latest 6 months; where it started at ports of Red Sea, Damietta, Port Said, Ismailia and Suez.  
He declared that stoppage of two specific navigational agencies activity has led to  decreasing financial revenues of Port said , but that they have stopped due to special circumstances of their own, but their stoppage will not affect maritime navigational traffic and commercial agencies and that now there is a continuous improvement.  And commented on MP, Ibrahim Abd ElNazeer claim showing destruction of such section that we have to wait a bit.
