SYDNEY - AFP

The Wallabies will face the Barbarians at Twickenham following this year's World Cup, according to the Australian Rugby Union. The Barbarians, who have beaten New Zealand and South Africa in the past two years, will meet Australia on November 26, looking to secure a hat-trick of southern hemisphere scalps. "Our two most recent games have been great spectacles and the victories over the All Blacks and Springboks have captured everyone's imagination," said Barbarians' president Micky Steele-Bodger in a statement put out by the ARU. "Our fixture against Australia in November provides us with a unique opportunity to complete a historic hat-trick so once again we will be inviting world-class stars to make up our team." The match continues a long tradition of Wallabies vs Barbarians games -- the last of which was hosted in Australia in 2009 at the Sydney Football Stadium. The two teams have met on 10 occasions with the Australians leading 7-3. The Sydney Morning Herald said a second Test is likely to be added for Australia, with a game against Wales pencilled in for the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff for November 19.
