CHICAGO - Arabstoday

Derrick Rose scored 36 points and Carlos Boozer added 17 points and 16 rebounds as the Chicago Bulls hung on to beat the Indiana Pacers 96-90 Monday night for another dramatic victory in their first-round playoff series. The Bulls led 90-85 after Kyle Korver nailed a 3-pointer with just over a minute left, but A.J. Price made three free throws with 23.4 seconds remaining to pull the Pacers within two. Luol Deng answered with two of his own free throws and Ronnie Brewer added two more to help Chicago seal the victory. The Bulls made their last 16 free throws to end the game. Danny Granger led Indiana with 19 points, but Tyler Hansbrough struggled, finishing with just six points on 2-of-12 shooting after scoring 22 points in the opening game. The eighth-seeded Pacers suffered another letdown in the Eastern Conference series. They were in control of Game 1 until Chicago closed with a 16-1 run to escape with the victory. Heat 94, Pacers 73 In Miami, LeBron James scored 29 points and Chris Bosh had 21 points and 11 rebounds as the Heat easily beat Philadelphia to go up 2-0 in their first-round playoff series. Dwyane Wade added 14 points for Miami, a day after missing practice with a migraine headache. The Miami star, who has long struggled with migraines, played Game 1 on Saturday with a headache, but still managed to score 17 points. Thaddeus Young scored 18 points and Evan Turner added 15 for the 76ers, whose starters were outscored 76-29 by the Heat's starting lineup. Miami led 49-31 at halftime, with Bosh, James and Wade all scoring at least 10 points. The 76ers' starting five players, meanwhile, managed just nine points in the game's first 24 minutes.
