Oman has defeated hosts Kuwait 1-0 in the 23rd Arabian Gulf Cup (Khaleeji23) as part of the matches in Group A.
Omani player Ahmad Mubarak scored the only goal in the 58th minute. By this result, Oman doused hopes of hosts Kuwait to cruise into the next round of the championship, according to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
Earlier in the day, the UAE held out to secure a goalless draw with Saudi Arabia on Monday in the same group
in Group B today, Qatar play Iraq and Bahrain take on Yemen.
