Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa
Manama - Egypt Today

Preparations are continued for the third edition of Khalid bin Hamad Youth Theater Award Festival for National Clubs, Youth Centers and People with Disabilities.

Successfully organised for the third consecutive year under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association and Honourary President of the Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation and within the initiatives of His Highness, the festival will be held next October at the Muharraq Model Youth Centre, with large and active youth participation from various leaders and representatives of national clubs, youth centers and people with disabilities.

The organising committee had announced earlier that this year’s edition will be held under the slogan #Let’s_Plant_A_Smile and will introduce several workshops and additional activities.

Jamal Al Ghailan, the Director of the Festival, said the organising committee will hold introductory workshops today as part of the preparations for the festival.

He explained that the workshops, titled “Do We Need Theatres?”, will be held at the Family of Writers and Authors headquarters in Zinj and will be addressed by Dr. Rashid Najim and Safa Al-Alawi.

Al Ghailan also announced that more workshops will be held between August 20 to August 30, calling upon the participants in the festival to attend and benefit from the topics discussed in the workshops
