Minister of Industry, Trade, Investment and Digital Economy, Ashraf Moulay Hafeez Al Alami supervised the opening of German factory “Leoney” specialized in cars’ wires and optical fibers.

He told “Arab Today” that, this factory came within an industrial development policy that Morocco uses to support huge industrial projects that will achieve balanced development to the kingdom. The factory project will provide 3000 jobs in Bouznika by 2018 and it will create an industrial dynamic that the city desperately needs.

General Manager of the Moroccan branch of “Leoney” factory, Fakhr El ddin Bougherra said that, reopening the factory will strengthen its powers in Morocco and it will provide huge economic opportunities, as long as jobs for 11 million workers  in the upcoming days. He added that, the company is planning to build an industrial boat in Rashid, and re-use Boskoura and Ain Harouda factories in an attempt to increase the company’s dynamic in Morocco.

Head of the Moroccan Association for cars’ manufacture and trade, Hakim Abdel Momen stated that, the car manufacture sector has been improving in the last years for its close relations with other industries such as, Iron, plastic, fabric, electric wires and batteries. This gave the investors the confidence to invest in the Moroccan market, including “Leoney” group, which chose to reopen its branch after years of conflicts between trade unionists and former administration officials.
