
National News Agency Director, Laure Sleiman Saab, and President of the Beirut Arab University, Amr Jalal al-Adawi, on Wednesday inked an agreement of cooperation between the state-run news agency and BAU's Humanities Faculty, to make use of the agency's capacities in training Media students, in both English and Arabic.
Students may also utilize the Archives Department at NNA.
Before the signature, Sleiman and al-Adawi met, in presence of the Humanities Faculty Dean, Mayssa al-Fayal, and Head of the Media Department, Jamal Moujahed.
Talks featured high on the mechanism to implement the agreement and the means of media cooperation between the agency and the Journalism Department at the Humanities Faculty.
Sleiman toured the studios in the university, and took note of their work, as well as of the new technologies.
She also visited the news editing room, and checked the various magazines edited and issued by media students at BAU.
