Azhar condemns Zionist escalations in Aqsa Mosque

Egypt's Al Azhar has vehemently condemned continued Zionist violations against the holy Mosque of Al Aqsa, citing repeated attempts by Jewish settlers to storm the holy shrine.

In a statement on Wednesday, Al Azhar deplored Israel's plan to continue digging operations under the mosque..

Al Azhar slammed such violations and all schemes meant to Judaize al Quds and eradicate its Islamic identity.

It warned of the repercussions for the mosque due to continued digging operations.

Al Azhar urged the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and international and human rights organizations to take strict measures against the repeated barbaric attacks and violations against Al Aqsa Mosque.
