Bothaina Kamel suspended

Newsreader Bothaina Kamel Cairo – Somaia Kamel Egyptian Media Minister Salah Abdel Maqsoud has suspended TV news presenter Bothaina Kamel following a sarcastic comment she made on air thinking her microphone was turned off.Kamel announced the visit of the Egyptian Defence Minister to Sinai when she joked about the news with her colleague. She was suspended minutes after the programme ended. Bothaina Kamel told Arabstoday that there was no investigation and that the words she said bothered the military leaders. The Egyptian Creativity Front issued a statement denouncing the suspension of the TV  presented. Bothaina Kamel was arrested more than once during the former regime and after the revolution because of her political stances. She returned to work less than two months ago.
