Eight Killed in Knife attack in China's Xinjiang Region

Eight people were killed in a knife attack in the north-western Chinese province of Xinjiang on Tuesday, the South China Morning Post reported.
Three attackers wielding knives stabbed people in Pishan county, killing five of them, the authorities in the town of Hotan told the Hong Kong-based newspaper. Police shot and killed the three attackers, the newspaper reported.
The motive for the attack remained unclear, and the identities of the attackers were not released.
