China pledges to support NDB's Africa Regional Center

China congratulated on the launch of the New Development Bank's (NDB's) Africa Regional Center and pledged to support it in promoting Africa's development, Xinhua news agency quoted a foreign ministry spokesperson as saying Friday.
The NDB, established to address infrastructural development and funding problems for BRICS nations and other developing countries, launched its Africa Regional Center in Johannesburg, South Africa, on Thursday.
"China appreciates the efforts made by all sides in launching the center," Hua Chunying said at a daily press briefing.
Establishing the center was a consensus reached by the BRICS leaders, and China has maintained coordination with South Africa during the preparatory phase, according to Hua.
"China will support the NDB's Africa Regional Center in promoting the development of African countries," she said.
