
At least 35 Taliban militants were killed following military operations conducted by Afghan national security forces in various provinces of Afghanistan.
The interior ministry of Afghanistan said in a statement the militants were killed in the past 24 hours during operations conducted by Afghan national army, Afghan national police and Afghan intelligence – national directorate of security (NDS) operatives.
The statement further added that the operations were conducted in Kunar, Nangarhar, Kunduz, Ghor, zavbul, Paktika and Helmand provinces.
Interior ministry also added that seven Taliban militant were injured and five others were detained during the operations, according to (Khaama Press).
Afghan national security forces also confiscated various types of weapons, ammunition and explosives along with ten improvised explosive devices (IEDs) during the operations, interior ministry said.
The anti-government armed militant groups have not commented regarding the report so far.
