Al-Hujairi underlines importance of emotional intelligence

Dr. Razan Al-Hujairi stressed that family relations are the most accurate and important human relations because they are based on the permanence and appreciation of the human value and to do so you must have the skills and assets that strengthen this relationship.
She added that the value of these skills enhances family life and increases family harmony. These skills include emotional intelligence, the group of emotional abilities within the person and in relation to others.
She added, “Emotional Intelligence plays a major role in helping family members acquire social skills that in turn enable them to cope with stressful situations in the family.” She stressed that Success in families depends on several cultural, social, health, psychological and other factors; however, emotions are a major factor.
She stressed that they include self-awareness and control of emotions, perseverance, internal motivation, emotional mobilization. She noted that there is a relationship between emotional intelligence and mental health through emotional equilibrium, namely, the ability to exercise restraint, personal and social harmony, and the degree of flexibility in dealing with others.
