Duraid Lahham: "I am alive and well"

Duraid Lahham, the Syrian actor, has denied in an interview with Arabstoday rumors stating that he has been in a horrific car accident on the international road connecting Lebanon to Syria, as many websites and some Lebanese radio stations have claimed. Lahham confirmed in a telephone call to Arabstoday that he is alive and kicking in Syria and has not been to Lebanon. He also said that he is surprised that this is the first time he’s had such rumors being said about him, wishing that people would not spread such rumors as they are to do with the life and death of an artist. The actor said that: “God decides when someone will die, but for those who spread such rumors, they need to be considerate of others’ feelings and ensure that they don’t hurt that artist’s feelings who has close ties with fans.” Duraid sent a message to his fans saying: “I’m well thank God and with your love I feel safe and secure and I ask God to forgive those who spread those rumors about me.”
