Water resources Minister: remarks on lawmakers taken out of context
Cairo - Arab Today

Water Resources Minister Mohamed Abdel Aati said some media outlets had taken his statements out of context regarding the coverage of project costs by lawmakers.

Media reports quoted the minister as saying that 200 lawmakers had agreed to cover the costs of projects carried out in their constituencies fully at their personal expenses.

But Abdel Aati said today he met with the 200 lawmakers during a meeting of the parliament's planning and budget committee and that some of them pledged to cover part, not all, of the projects' costs through personal or societal participation.
