UAE Flag a symbol of national identity says RAK Ruler

The Flag Day is a day on which the national identity is renewed and love for the country inculcated in the minds of children, H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah, has said.

He added, "Through this event we recall the achievements of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan."

The RAK Ruler was speaking during the Flag Day celebration organised by the committee of the 45th National Day celebrations in RAK on Thursday. H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah was present.

The RAK Ruler and Crown Prince hoisted the UAE flag at Al Quasim Corniche in RAK with the participation of a group of children.

On this occasion, Sheikh Saud congratulated the UAE President, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Members of Supreme Council, Their Highnesses Rulers of Emirates.

"The national events represent an opportunity to express unity and renew momentum for the elevation of the UAE," the RAK Ruler said.

The RAK Crown Prince said, "The Flag Day is a national event during which the hearts of Emiratis rally behind the banner of homeland."
