The Finance Ministry denied press reports which claimed that Finance Minister Amr el Garhy plans to increase the tax burden on the citizens.
Garhy's statements during a meeting of the direct investment association underlined the need of raising tax revenues in the GDP for Egypt from 13% to 16% and not increasing taxes on the citizens, the ministry added in a statement on Sunday.
