Minister: Government seeks to attain economic justice

The government seeks to attain economic justice, increase investment and local production within the upcoming phase, said Finance Minister Amr el Garhy.

This came in a statement issued by the Finance Ministry on Monday about the meetings held by the finance minister and his deputies on the sidelines of the WB-IMF Spring Meetings in Washington. 

The minister, meanwhile, said that the government will attach top priority with the upcoming phase to increase economic growth rates and job opportunities.

The Finance Ministry will adopt clear-cut policies within the upcoming phase, he said, adding that it will also develop the taxes and customs department, a matter which will increase investments and develop local production. 

He also underlined the need to reduce budget deficit rates in order to attain financial stability.
