FM, Sarraj discuss Libyan developments

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry Tuesday telephoned chairman of the Libyan presidential council Fayez al Sarraj and discussed the latest developments in Libya at the political and security levels.
The two sides agreed on the need to work together to reach a consensus regarding pending issues of the Libyan political agreement, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid.
Sarraj posted Shoukry on steps that could be taken in the coming stage, Abu Zeid added.
The spokesman said that Shoukry stressed Cairo's full support for Libya and its willingness to contribute to efforts to restore security and stability in the Arab country.
Sarraj said he intends to visit Cairo in the near future for further talks on the Libyan crisis, Abu Zeid said.
