Al Azhar imam: judiciary preserves Egypt's security, stability

Al Azhar Grand Imam Sheikh Ahmed el Tayyeb stressed that the Egyptian judiciary preserves the country's security and stability as it is one of the most import pillars of Egypt besides other national state institutions.

This remark came during a meeting held between el Tayyeb and the Head of the Judges' Club and Vice-President of the Court of Cassation Mohamed Abdel Mohsen as well as the new club's board of directors.

During the get-together, el Tayyeb congratulated Abdel Mohsen for being elected in his new post, underlining that Egypt is proud of its judiciary and judges.

Al Azhar appreciates the Egyptian judiciary, its independence and integrity, he noted.

For his part, Abdel Mohsen hailed the ongoing efforts exerted by Al Azhar in spreading the moderate teachings of Islam and facing the extremist ideologies.
