The Ajman Tourism Development Department, ATDD, has joined the United Nations call on the International Day for Tolerance to express its ongoing commitment in applying the principles of tolerance declared by the UN and the UAE Minister of State for Tolerance's Office.
Speaking on the occasion, Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Humaid Al-Nuaimi, Chairman of ATDD, said, "The value of tolerance stems from our culture and national identity, and our commitment comes to emphasise our loyalty and faith into the values of our country which reflects our noble ethics, humanitarian and religious values. We thank our wise leaders for the establishment of the Ministry of Tolerance, that brings us all together to reach all communities in order to build a better future, not only in the UAE, but across Arab countries and the world."
Faisal Al Nuaimi, General Manager of ATDD, said, "I take this opportunity to express the importance of tolerance in the world, and the noble human value that shows the true face of our religion and to enhance its image in the whole world, to highlight the value of coexistence and acceptance of others, openness to cultures and different civilisations and religions in the UAE. Positive interaction is the best evidence to ensure intrinsic stability that the people in the UAE feel, and we hope on this occasion that we can show that tolerance is an essential guarantee for co-existence between individuals and respect for human rights."
