
As many as 1,487 pilgrims arrived at Safaga port on Wednesday coming from the Saudi port of Yanbu after performing Umra (minor hajj) rituals.
Spokesman for the Red Sea Ports Authority Abdel Rahim Moustafa said there has been coordination with the authorities of Safaga port to finalize travel procedures for the pilgrims as soon as possible.
The spokesman added that other 1,115 passengers and 213 vehicles arrived at Safaga port on board a vessel coming from the Saudi port of Duba.
