Qalqilia - Egypt Today

At least six Palestinians were injured on Friday as Israeli occupation forces quelled a protest in the village of Kafr Qaddoum and another one in the village of Mazra'a al-Gharbiya in the occupied West Bank.

Two Palestinians, including a child, were injured by rubber-coated rounds as Israeli forces quelled the weekly protest in the village of Kafr Qaddoum, in the northern West Bank, against Israel’s continuing closure of the village’s main street.

Morad Shtewi, coordinator of the popular resistance in the village, said Israeli soldiers fired rubber-coated rounds and teargas canisters towards the protesters, injuring two of them, including a 13-year-old identified as Khaled Shtewi. Shtewi was injured in his thighbone, and was moved to hospital for medical treatment.

Meanwhile, other protesters in the village sustained suffocation from teargas inhalation.

In the meantime, Israeli soldiers fired rubber-coated bullets at Palestinians who were protesting against the repeated attacks by Israeli settlers in the village Mazra'a al-Gharbiya. Four of the protesters were reportedly injured.
