House Speaker warns of heeding to Israeli

Lower House Speaker, Atif Tarawneh warned against heeding to the Israeli occupation plans regarding Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram al-Sharif as this would have grave consequences on the whole region.
Tarawneh made the remarks during his participation in the 25th emergency conference of the Arab Inter-parliamentary Union (AIPU) on the flagrant Israeli violations of the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque in Rabat, Morocco.
He pointed to the Hashemite Custodianship of the Muslim and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, stressing the historical and religious responsibilities of Jordan toward the holy city of Jerusalem.
The 70-year occupation is the reason behind the mobilization of anger among generations that faced injustice in the occupied Palestinian lands, Tarawneh said.
