New round of Astana talks may be held after Dec 20

Kazakh Deputy Foreign Minister Akilbek Kamaldinov said on Friday that the eighth round of the Syrian Astana talks is likely to be held after December 20.
Kamaldinov told Russia Today channel that "the guarantor states of the Syrian settlement are expected to address us to allow us to prepare for the eighth round of Astana talks in late December".
"For our part, there is no delays in preparing for this round of talks", Kamaldinov noted, adding that its time and discussion points can be determined only by the guarantor states.
