Calls made to follow Abbas’ UN speech at City centers

‘Palestine 194’ campaign Thursday called on Palestinians in the West Bank to rally in public areas in the city centers to follow President Mahmoud Abbas’ speech at the United Nations General Assembly on Friday evening. It said in a press release that just as tens of thousands of Palestinians had come out to the streets on Wednesday, people were urged to repeat the scene again on Friday when Abbas makes his historic speech. The speech will be broadcast live on huge screens that will be set up in all city centers throughout the West Bank. It is expected to start at 7:00 p.m. local time.
