Henedi is worried about the political situation in Egypt

Henedi is worried about the political situation in Egypt Cairo - Sayed Khalaf Allah Egyptian comedian Mohamed Henedi has quashed rumours that he wants to quit as presenter of television show Trust: Moment of Doubt. Speaking to Arabstoday, the 48-year old said he takes great pride in presenting the show on Egyptian channel Rotana, and had to wait a long time for the opportunity to host a programme like Trust: Moment of Doubt. Henedi explained that the television show isn't just the Arabic version of a globally renowned American programme, but that it is also different to some of the traditional talk and quiz shows seen on Egyptian channels. The comedian urged his fellow Egyptian artists to turn to television presenting if they feel that they have the necessary skills to be successful on the small screen. He described television presenting as an avenue for performers who have achieved fame and have a credible fan base elsewhere. Henedi said he would be happy to push forward with his presenting career, even though acting is his main profession. "It is possible to repeat the experiment, if there are new ideas out there for me to explore," he added. The Egyptian artist expressed his delight at the success of Trust: Moment of Doubt, adding that he had received congratulatory messages from friends and colleagues. Henedi refused to discuss the political situation in Egypt, but said he was concerned about the future. He urged all political groups to unite in the national interest, and stick together until Egypt regains its strength and stature among the top nations in the world. The Giza-born entertainer is currently filming drama series Ramadan Puzzles, after taking a two-week break due to a severe cold. The programme is his second drama experience after Black and White.
