President Sisi has busy schedule last week 4 Cairo

On Tuesday, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi conferred with Al Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el Tayyeb.

Sisi hailed as pivotal the role of Al Azhar in facing terror and extremism. He labeled Al Azhar as the beacon of moderate Islamic thought.

Sisi stressed the importance of continuing efforts aiming at developing the institutional and scientific capabilities of Al Azhar in order to be able to overcome terrorism and extremism.

Meanwhile, the Grand Imam briefed the president on efforts of Al Azhar's scholars to spread the true teachings of religion and counter extremist ideology.

On Wednesday, president Sisi held a meeting with Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed el Assar.

The president lauded efforts exerted to develop the companies and factories affiliated to the Ministry of Military Production in addition to their role in boosting the national economy.

The president underscored the importance of boosting efforts to finalize national projects so that Egypt could achieve the aspired economic development, improve the state institutions’ services and provide job opportunities.

Assar presented a report to President Sisi on the business activities of the ministry’s companies that achieved a remarkable boom in production and sales for the year 2016/2017.
