On Sunday, president Sisi convened with Prime Minister Sherif Ismail and Finance Minister Amr el Garhi.
Sisi directed the government to enhance social protection schemes to reduce the effects of economic reforms on low-income brackets. Sisi also ordered the government to continue its fiscal consolidation and reforms to boost the State's financial ability to serve the education and health sectors.
Increasing expenditure on the infrastructure to develop the provided services for the people in the coming period was also highlighted during the meeting, presidential spokesman Bassam Radi said.
The meeting also reviewed the performance of the macro and financial indices, as el Garhi pointed out to the gradual improvement in the economy, as the reform program was paying off.
