Corvette launches limited Carbon 65 edition

Chevrolet is commemorating the 65th anniversary of the Corvette with a new Corvette Carbon 65 Edition offered on 2018 Grand Sport and Z06 models. Limited to only 650 vehicles — with 30 units coming to the Middle East — the distinctive Carbon 65 blends visible carbon-fiber exterior elements with a new Ceramic Matrix Gray exterior color. Other interior appointments include a new carbon-fiber rimmed steering wheel. The new Carbon 65 Edition will honor the Corvette legacy while offering customers a unique, special-edition model that personalizes the ownership experience. The Corvette Carbon 65 Edition will be available in the second half of 2017, along with the rest of the 2018 Corvette lineup.

• The Audi driving experience is now redirecting its program in motorsports: The team around the driver coach and mentor Sepp Haider will focus on the promotion of young talents in the Audi Sport racing academy. In addition to theoretical and sports training, the academy’s comprehensive program also includes practice in the Audi Sport TT Cup and for the first time in the ADAC GT Masters. “After the successful era of customer-racing programs, we are delighted to be taking the next step,” said Klaus Demel, head of the Audi driving experience. “Promoting young talent is now at the heart of our motorsports activities. Haider and his team of instructors will mentor young drivers to prepare them for a professional career.”

• The 2017 Sierra All Terrain has been introduced in the Middle East. It adds off-road attitude and performance to the refined Sierra, while offering a premium mix of style, function and capability. It is designed to be a premium-grade truck that commands respect either on the open road or off the beaten track. Combining advanced engineering and aggressive attitude for enhanced traction and off-road handling, four-wheel drive is just the beginning. The Sierra All Terrain is equipped with the legendary Z71 Off-Road suspension with monotube Rancho shocks, advanced Hill Decent Control and protective underbody shielding to help guard key components.

• This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Fiat 500. It also sees the debut of the Fiat 500 Mirror. This special edition marks the introduction of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on the Fiat 500, with a car that is always connected and packed with content. The Fiat 500 Mirror is available in different colors and a brushed aluminum “Mirror” badge on the B pillar and 14-inch wheels with chrome-finished wheel covers. Fifteen-inch alloy wheels are also available as an option.
