Iraqi Woman defies Cancer with Snakes’ Meat
Baghdad - Arab Today

Om Abbas who has been suffering from Cancer for 5 years, and doesn’t have the money to buy the proper treatment, turned to alternative medicine to treat her cancer.
She has been eating snakes’ meat ever since she has been diagnosed with cancer, based on an advise given to her by a local man working in alternative medicine. She said that price per one injection for cervical cancer reached to $700

She said that someone provides her with the snakes with cheap price but she finds difficulty eating the meat even after cooking it but she had no other option.

Othman Hassan, worker at Kurkuk Health Department expressed his resentment over such recommendations, saying that Cancer patients should visit specialized centers and have the right treatment.

He added that Cancer drugs are available at public hospitals and with affordable prices and patients have access to them, and they don’t have to turn to such ancient and unreliable ways.
