Shamanov stressed that Syria has right to use all its weapons to defend its lands and sovereignty

Head of the Defense Committee at Duma Council Vladimir Shamanov stressed that Syria has the right to use all the weapons it possesses to defend its lands and sovereignty.
In a statement to journalists on Tuesday, Shamanov said that the S-300 air defense systems which Russia provided to Syria are highly protective and Damascus has the right to use them to protect its national interests whether legally or morally.
He noted that the Syrian soldiers have went through a complete set of trainings and they are able to manage the complexes of S-300 missiles independently, yet he didn’t excluded the possibility of sending Russian consultants for these systems.
