Iraqi local official Moayed Farhan revealed that ISIS militias kidnapped 16 civilians from Anbar's Rahalia district. He called Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al Abadi for interfering to save them.

Meanwhile, the extremist group carried out suicide attacks in Mousl using Yazidi children kidnapped by the extremist militias from Singar area in 2014. The group published a footages for a camp for Yazidi children, saying that they converted to Islam and many of them carried out suicide attacks.

On the other hand, Popular Mobilization Forces rallied their supporters in Basra to show their strength in one of the most critical areas in the country, as it includes the ports to export oil and to import the basic commodities.

Sources blamed the Iranian role to support specific groups at the expense of others, stressing that such a position poses serious threat against the security of the area. They stressed that Iran supports this militia due to their loyalty to the Iranian religious reference.

According to the sources, the Iraqi political leaders agreed that the current position poses serious threat against the governorate, as it could return the previous conflicts witnessed in Basra that continued for weeks in 2008.

They stressed that the Iraqi security and military troops have not interfered to contain the spread of militias in Basra despite their show of strength and chants carrying implicit threats to the other Iraqi factions.
