Moroccan Actor and MP Yassine Ahjam Receives Death Threats on Facebook

Yassine Ahjam, actor and former the Justice and Development Party’s Member of Parliament, revealed that he has received death threats on his official Facebook page, on Thursday.
Over a period of several days, an unknown source threatened to kill the artist and his wife, Qods Joundoul, via a false Facebook profile.
The campaign of intimidation reportedly took the form of death threats, blackmail, insults, and threats of kidnapping Ahjam’s daughter, Lara.
The actor explained that the death threats have to do with his role of Yahya in the film “Wesal” directed by Hakim Guibabi.
“As a citizen, I will not give up and I will defend myself and family to my last breath, because the issue concerns public rights and not personal rights, and the person who threatens me, threatens the public order.”
Ahjam filed a complaint to Casablanca’s prosecution. The investigation will be carried out to determine the identity of the person who issued the threats.
