Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, received on Friday in Dubai, the visiting Foreign Minister of Philippines, Perfecto Yasay, who is leading a high-profile delegation.

H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, also attended the reception.

Sheikh Mohammed and Yasay reviewed bilateral relations between the UAE and the Philippines and ways to enhance them in joint fields between the two countries.

Sheikh Mohammed was also briefed about the outcomes of the meeting between Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, and Yasay.

Sheikh Mohammed praised the contribution of the Filipino community in the development of the UAE, and also wished that relations would witness more development and progress in various domains.

Philippines' Foreign Minister hailed the UAE's cultural boom at all avenues, thanks to the wise leadership which gives attention to the interests of Emiratis and establishes strong humanitarian relations with various peoples around the world.

Present at the meeting were Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and The Future, Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs,Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation, and Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Director- General of the Department of Protocol and Hospitality in Dubai.
