Minister receives Egyptian envoy

Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza received Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt Soha Al-Far and Senior Undersecretary of the Egyptian Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy Dr. Khalid Mohammed Al-Dastawi.
The two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of renewable energy development and energy efficiency in Bahrain and the exchange of experiences in this field, as well as regulations and legislations that have been successfully implemented in Egypt.

The minister and the visitors also spoke about the results of the recent visit by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the Egypt.

They also discussed means of enhancing and activating cooperation on a number of initiatives and recommendations implemented by the Sustainable Energy Unit, technical and legislative requirements to expand solar projects and the best global and regional practices in developing the legislative structure that allows small and large investors to invest in solar energy.

The Egyptian Ambassador and Dr. Al-Dastawi thanked the minister and officials for the welcome and the hospitality and praised their efforts in providing services for all.

The meeting was attended by Advisor to the Minister Dr. Ahmed Hashem.
