His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, today at safriyah palace, received Commander of the US Central Command, Gen. Joseph Votel.
HM the king praised the solid longstanding Bahraini-US relations highlighted by joint coordination and coordination in various fields, especially in military and defence, in the interest of both countries and their peoples.
The latest regional and international developments were discussed, as well as topics of joint interest.
HM the king pointed out the significance of the pivotal role played by the United States in maintaining international peace and security, lauding Gen. Votel's efforts to boost Bahraini-US military and defence cooperation.
Gen. Votel expressed appreciation of the royal keenness to promote bilateral relations and cooperation at the military and defence level.
