Deputy Premier, HH Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa met here today the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Abu Gheit, in the presence of former Arab league Chief, Amru Moosa, and former Jordanian Prime Minister and former House of Senate President, Abdul Rauf Rawabdeh.
The deputy premier conveyed thanks and appreciation to the Arab League Secretary-General for granting him the Arab Development Work Leadership Shield, as well as his wishes of further success to Arab League in its noble efforts to enhance joint Arab action.
HH Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa appreciated the vital role played by the Arab League in strengthening joint Arab action at all levels, in addition to its tireless efforts aimed at enhancing Arab solidarity and complementarity in order to be able to face the current challenges.
The deputy premier reiterated the kingdom's backing of the Arab League's efforts to strengthen cooperation among Arab countries as the best means to fulfill the aspirations of Arab peoples for more progress and prosperity.
Arab League Secretary-General welcomed HH Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa's visit to the Arab League to receive the Arab Development Work Leadership Shield on behalf of HRH the Prime Minister.
Abu Gheit asserted that HRH Premier is one of the prominent development work leaders across the Arab world, and has made outstanding contributions to serving Arab issues.
