Arab League chief meets EU admiral on migration, refugees' issues

Arab League chief Ahmed Abul Gheit met Wednesday with the Operation Commander of EUNAVFOR MED Rear Admiral Enrico Credendino on issues of migration and refugees.
Credendino reviewed with Abul Gheit the naval operations and the communication developments conducted by the EU with the parties concerned.
Abul Gheit stressed the importance of a constant and close coordination between Europe and the Arab countries, noting that naval operations in the Mediterranean Sea should base on the mandate of the UN Security Council resolution 2240.
