Smuggled antiquities recovery committee holds 1st meeting in 6 years

The national committee for recovering Egyptian antiquities smuggled abroad held its first meeting since 2010 upon a decision by Prime Minister Sherif Ismail.
The committee was chaired by Antiquities Minister Khaled el Anany, who said it discussed today means to set clear-cut and strategic policies for the restitution of smuggled artifacts in the coming period to ensure the protection of Egypt's cultural and civil property
