
Packer Alija Izetbegovic, a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina has emphasized that the State of Qatar has often stood alongside the Bosnian people and offered grand support to Bosnia and Herzegovina helped it overcome the post-war period that passed by .Earlier Wednesday, HE Qatar's Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs Dr. Ghaith bin Mubarak Al-Kuwari inaugurated the renovated building of Sarajevo's historic library that was destroyed during the Bosnian war. The opening ceremony was attended by Bosnia's presidential council member Baqer Ezzat Begovic, Grand Mufti Husein Kavazovic, HE Qatar's Ambassador to Bosnia Rashed bin Mubarak Al-Kuwari as well as senior officials and religious, scientific and political leaders.The 7,000-square-meter site dates back to 1537 and its revival, which was carried out over 10 years, is a generous gift from HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.Packer Alija Izetbegovic said in an exclusive statement to Qatar News Agency(QNA) published late Wednesday, that the funding of the State of Qatar to revive the library of Khosropk and the construction of the new building of the library is the largest support for the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where the investment in science and research is the most important assistance that can be obtained by any state.The Bosnian official pointed out that the new building of the library, which was officially opened today stands as a testament to the efforts of the State of Qatar to the advancement and progress of Muslims, and its commitment to the Islamic civilization, wherever they are. He explained that the new building has the latest equipment, making it easier for students and job seekers .A member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Qatar ties as excellent, and await broad prospects of cooperation in new areas such as the economy and tourism.He said: " We are in Bosnia and Herzegovina must work to encourage and attract investors to the country, and called the Qatari citizens to learn more about Bosnia and Herzegovina through the tourist tours. " We will in the near future revitalize this sector and attract tourists from Qatar and from the different countries," QNA quoted Packer Alija Izetbegovic as saying.
