Tokyo - UPI
The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency said it successfully launched an unmanned cargo transporter headed toward the International Space Station Sunday. The H-2B rocket carried its fourth vehicle into space after blasting off at 4:48 a.m. local time from the launch pad at Tanegashima Space Center on Tanegashima Island in Kagoshima Prefecture, Kyodo News reported. The cargo unit separated from the rocket and into orbit 15 minutes after launch, according to plan, the agency said. It was not reported when the cargo unit was expected to dock with the ISS.
