Israeli radar systems undergo testing

New tactical radar systems by Israel's RADA Electronic Industries Ltd. are undergoing field tests and demonstrations in the country and elsewhere. The products being tested are the production-standard prototypes RADA's Multi-Mission Hemispheric Radar and Compact Hemispheric Radar, which are software-defined "radars for all missions." RADA said the CHR is demonstrating the RPS-10 application for Active Protection Systems on a combat vehicle. Testing of the RPS-15 application of hostile fire detection onboard tactical ground vehicles is to take place later this year. The MHR is demonstrating the RPS-40 Hostile Fire Detection mission, detecting and localization of the origin of hostile fire. RADA said testing of the RPS-42 Tactical Air Surveillance and the RHS-44 Comprehensive Border Protection solutions will follow. RADA intends to begin serial deliveries of the radars to various customers this year.
