Manama - Bna

Mr. Hassan Al Qadhi does not have any legal status as President of the Delmon University, the Secretariat-General of the Higher Education Council said. Commenting on statements attributed to him in local newspapers, describing him as "President of Delmun University", the Higher Education Council asserted that Mr. Hassan Al Qadhi does not have any such legal status, stressing that the Secretariat-General has already requested him and the University owners not to use that title since it has never been approved by the council. In its statement, the Secretariat-General also said that any candidate for university presidency should be approved by the Higher Education council in order to be effective.
